Touring in November

Wow the weather is so crazy right now! It was cold last Saturday, then on Sunday my guests ate outside in sunny comfort! That’s mountain weather for you.

Right now it’s calming down. Harvest is over thank goodness and the winemakers and workers can finally get a good night’s sleep and let go of all the stress of getting the crops in safely. The leaf peepers have all come and gone, so it’s far less crowded in the tasting rooms. The trees are still showing some lovely color. We’re getting into one of my favorite tour times: Winter!

Winter touring is comfy – most wineries have the fireplaces burning and are relaxed and have time to chat.
